This year, I did not stay until the end of the ball, but I did have a scheduled dance a little past the time when my roomies needed to find their escape. Consequently, when I finally made my way back to our room after dancing the night away in 19th century finery, this scene that greeted me as I entered our room jolted me back into the 21st century rather quickly!
