My brother, David Jones, published a sci-fi novel, Children of a Doomed Sun through Amazon in October of 2014. Being more of a romance novel reader than a sci-fi reader, I put reading the book on the backburner despite the fact that my husband and a friend of mine both told me they enjoyed it. Since January is a time for resolutions and beginnings, I finally made my purchase. My brother asked if I was merely purchasing out of support or if I actually planned to read it. I told him that I wasn’t really supporting if I didn’t read it, so last night, with a cup of cider and my Kindle, I sat down in front of the fire to start the book.
