The first quarter mile wasn't too terrible, and I was still clean. Someone who passed me told me the first ¼ mile was the worst part when I said that was as far as I was going. Someone else told me that there was a very pretty view from the ½ mile marker, so after a few moments consideration, I journeyed on, hoping those waiting below would be content to play on the beach and read their books. At the ½ mile marker, I decided to call them and let them know I was on my way back down. No signal. Well, hopefully they know I am all right.
