If Looks Could Kill - Cooper's Hawk (Accipiter cooperii) On two occasions today I inadvertently interfered with this hawks pursuit of lunch at my backyard feeders. Once his intended meal flew right by me and the hawk made a last minute flight correction and crashed into a shrub about 10 feet from me.
