"Tree Snake" Texas Rat Snake (Elaphe obsoleta lindheimeri) I noticed a large number of birds (cardinals, mockingbirds, sparrows, titmice, chickadees about 40 all counted)gathering in the same tree in the yard...at first I couldn't find out their reason for concern...this photo shows the subject of the mobbing action.
