06-08-05 rear window

It was an early start, which was the main reason for the early night. Had a couple of drinks with
my colleague, before heading back to spend a night in my hotel room. The main trouble is that the
place was roasting, so I had to spend the evening with the window open, watching all the young
turks out enjoying themselves, whilst I sat eating a bowl of pasta that cost around the same price
as a hefty night out. Yeah, I was as bitter as I sound.

After getting into work the test ran pretty smoothly, allowing me to catch an earlier train,
meaning that I was back in Aberdeen in time for the first home game of the season. I shouldn't
have bothered. Although we dominated, two schoolboy errors meant that we finished off losing 2-1.

Anyway this was the view out of the window in my office this morning. Nice isn't it?! The scar
on the mountainside you see on the left, is hillend, what was, and may well still be, Europes
biggest dry ski slope complex.

With this I'm pretty much back up to date again. But true to form this next week is going to prove
just as busy. It also is the week in which I'll finish my PAD year on the 13th! I'll try and post
as frequently as possible, although it may well prove near-impossible. You'll see what I mean later on!

Today's extra was taken whilst avoiding an exhorbitant breakfast in the hotel. OK I was jonesing
for a starbucks, and that was my excuse at the time.

Hotels ! That is the right business to be in...

The row houses all packed together are in such contrast to the wide open mountian and sky. It's kind of a schitzy existence. The storm clouds are pretty awesome.

F'n great view of the mountains and near religious sky, Dom. I like the layers of suburbia in the foreground leading the eye into the less tame.

A very dramatic sky. I hope your week turns out better than expected.
