My colleagues and I had decided to take a flight on Sunday afternoon down to London, rather than
arrive bleary eyed the next day, having got up at stupid o’clock for the flight.
We arrived in good spirits, and quickly made it through the crowds to the hotel, for around 9pm.
We headed out for something to eat, only to find that area of London shuts down on a Sunday, as
there’s no passing tourist trade.
After what seemed like a couple of miles we had made a fairly complete circle and were heading back
to Bankside, to get something to eat. This was a cross inside the newly completed headquarters of
the Salvation Army.
