As mentioned yesterday the new day was heralded by having to drag myself out of bed at stupid
o'clock. All ready for a drive down to our Edinburgh office, before then hopping across the
country and over to the west coast. Some 2.5 hours after leaving, we were getting very close to
our destination. You sometimes forget, what a beautiful country you live in. The final part of
the drive from Loch Lomond, all the way to Loch Fyne, reminded me. It was stunning.
This is the approach to Inverary along the banks of Loch Fyne, as you can see it was a lovely clear
night. That wasn't to last long. We stopped briefly in a pub called the George. Again it was
another nice surprise. A really beautiful country pub, which had been extended very sympathetically
with regard to the original building. You thought you were in a victorian barn, whereas it was a
2005 conservatory!
With that it was a short hop along the road to a world of static caravans, where we were based for
the next three nights. Small, but very clean and comfortable. Then it was off to bed fairly early
to be ready for the first couple of dives the next day.
