Had to nip out this afternoon, to deposit the proceeds from the lovely Catherine's birthday into
our bank account.
Our bank is at Queens Cross, one of the most affluent areas of Aberdeen. It's where the merchant
houses of old are to be found. And of course, is where anyone who's no-one in Aberdeen, wants to
move to - making the journey in a white convertable BMW. I shouldn't sneer though, as there really
are some beautiful houses there, and in some ways I can understand the reasons for living there.
It's very similar to Edinburgh's new town.
There is currently an old television studio being demolished to make way for some affordable
housing for the upper classes. So I thought I'd take a wander along and see how they're getting
on. The only reason I was interested is that the finish, both materials, and design is incredible.
But the prices are phenomenal, a two bedroomed flat in the development would cost more than the
house we're having built. I think you can see the root of my contempt!
And look what I found on the boardings outside the building site! It had PAD written all over it
the minute I saw it. This is actually only a quarter of the full stencil, the whole thing ran over
a couple of meters. I'll have to go back with my tripod, and merge them all once I get some more time.
Anyway, here are a couple of other views of the same hoarding.
