26-02-05 bamboo

What a day. We've been trying to finish off clearing the loft, and boxing everything up. I ache
from my back to my ankles. Catherine finally succumbed to the burn-out around an hour ago and is
tucked up as I write this. Although in fairness I sometimes think she's borderline narcleptic.

I wanted to do something a bit more different today, something more simple and "clean". I had
tried out a couple of similar "graphic" images over the last couple of days. The other's worked,
so I'll bear them in mind, and hold them as gimme's for when inspiration is low.

This is the same bamboo plant as I showed you on, 23-01-05

As you can see I also did a jet black version, but I think I preferred the hint of colour shining
through here.

P.S. Glad to see the sausage dog went down well yesterday!

I agree with Bill on the Japanese look, which I'm a sucker for. I like the sharpness of the leaves contrasted with how they stoop and seem limp. The lighting is also excellent. Superb shot, Dom.

I really like this, I probably just about prefer this one to the alternative. I like the little bit of colour.

So Catherine's only having a short doze then !! :>) The only good thing about moving is removing some of the clutter we accumulate believing that one day we may have some use for it !!

I also like the color.. I think that's what makes it look like a photo and not a drawing (no.. i'll stop now.. i promise).. LOL
I DO like the splash of green..

Very minimalist. Seems like you are inspired by the graffiti artists in your area. This one uses the white space very well and, like some others, I think the dash of color really sells it.
