Yesterday's photo seemed to be a hit. For some reason, there always seems to be a lot more hits,
when I post an image of Catherine, than one of myself. Still trying to work that one out. The
comments left were great, and a few in particular, and I'm looking at you Zak, Stu and Bandito,
just cracked me up.
Something that also cracked me up today was the standard of penmanship in the local paper - The
Evening Express. Now I'm under no illusion here, you could take a 5 year olds story from their
creative writing class, compare it to the general standard of journalism, and the 5yo would still
be closer to the mark.
This evening's gem was about a local woman who's internet love match, turned to a nightmare when
her new partner became abusive. Now I hope you'll forgive my paraphrasing here, but included were
the Pulitzer prize winning contenders, such as; "When he moved in, he brought with him a bag of
knives. I thought it was strange, but then again they were bonnie, and I like cooking". And "One
night, when we were getting intimate, we had a big row. I wanted the light on, but he wanted it off."
But I digress, because if I didn't I'd be here all night. Anyway, if it wasn't for the local sport
coverage I'd stop buying it altogether, rather than just the once a week.
Well today's shot was taken this morning, on the way into work though the park. I've tried this
shot several times, but I don't really like using the flash, and it's too dark, being north facing
no matter how I meter the light. This morning I thought sod it let it flash and I'll convert to
B&W. Pity really the sunlight was lovely.
