Well the wind was something else last night, and more than a couple of times the gusts were so bad
you could see the reflections in the windows distort as the glass shifted.
A couple of days back during the first set of gales, one of the trees by the riverside came down,
after the river had burst its banks, and softened the ground around it. I had this shot planned,
down to the amount of contrast I wanted! So first thing before it started raining again, I grabbed
all my gear and walked the five minutes up the bank to get there. The moment I did I realised
another tree had been blown down overnight too. So I was in blown-down-tree heaven(?). Two rolls
of film later, and a flat digital battery I decided I had suffered enough for my art, and went home.
I shot this as a TIFF file, but it seems to have lost the exif details. I'll have to crib them
from one of the JPEGS I also took. Although I had noticed that for every tiff I took, there's an
accompanying .THM file - anyone any suggestions?
Off to a series of lectures tonight to accompany the training I'm doing for diving! I think the
aim of which is to scare you out of finishing the training.
2 days to go until 30!
