Well that's the last of the christmas decorations down. All I need to do now is box them up, and
put them back up to the loft. One of the last things that's always added to the tree, and put away
again is this bauble. It's Catherine's, and both her and her sister were given a bauble each just
like this by their Granda. It's one of the few tangible things we have that reminds her of him.
And it's always treated with the same care and love. Packed away almost on it's own wrapped
tightly, so it comes out of the packing in the same condition the following year.
I want to thank Pete for giving me the idea for this following her post on the 23rd December.
It's not a dorky memory at all Pete. They're what keep the things that are precious to us, close in our minds.
As for Pbase, well I couldn't have put it better than Stu did earlier - the site lives and dies by
the people that use it. I have to say I'm losing interest in posting, and it compounds the thought
when I've spent half the evening trying to post a single picture. And incidentally Stu, if you read this,
I think your Black and White galleries Rock.
Well that's it for Christmas for another year, the irony isn't lost on me that I've posted more
festive shots after Christmas and the New Year than I did in the run up. But (ho ho) ho-hum, I
didn't get that much of a chance in Christmas to be festive what with work and all the other
"excitement".
Only 8 more days until I reach 30 (I think that's right - it's the 14th?!). Not sure if I'm that
excited about it yet. Perhaps nearer the time.
