This bit of the riverside is about a minutes walk from our flat.
I went for a walk down there today, as it was a lovely clear night,
Catherine was working on, and there was some really great light.
But it was very cold.
First off I met a couple who own a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I love these dogs,
trying hard to convince my wife, who is a bit more wary of Dogs than I am,
that this would be a good idea for us. I think if she had met this one tonight
wild horses couldn't keep her back. He was lovely!
Then walking back I saw what I thought was another football floating down the river
(there are a series of football pitches alongside the river, both 5-a-side, and full size).
I thought it was strange as it's rare you ever see a ball hit the river, and
I had already seen one tonight. When I realised it was a seal, chasing salmon.
This part of the river, is a good 2 miles or so from the sea.
So I stood and watched him for a while before heading home.
