Black Canyon

Various snaps of our 2 day/720 mile drive from Denver, Colorado to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado, also taking in the Blue Mesa Dam. The canyon is 48 miles long and on average 2,000 feet deep with the deepest section being 2,800 feet deep. The rim of the canyon is 7,700 feet above sea level.

Awesome place, isn't it? It's been many years since I've been here but I distinctly remember Mom never making it to the edge while "crab-walking". Greats shots! Brings back fond memories of this yawning chasm. V
