This convention was held in February 1983 at the Centre Hotel in Liverpool (The name of the hotel has probably changed in the meantime, though.), It was quite near to Lime Street Station. Which was useful, as I didn't have a car at that time, and was entirely dependent on public transport.

In those pre Politically Correct days, one feature of this convention was the "Miss Galaxy" contest, from which these pictures originate.
