Went to Ihl Rouse to get coffee and something to eat at a place that Leslie liked, some
bread and pastry place. We'd eaten there before and gotten bread for dinner. It appeared
to be run by two, possibly three, ancient brothers (..nous sommes corses, merci) and either their wives or sisters.

They had a modern oven which could bake 6 or 7 racks of about 50 loaves of bread each,
simultaneously. It was a very impressive oven given its relatively small foot print
of about 5 feet wide, 8 feet long and about 7 feet high.

It is a very busy shop and one of the most popular sweet pastries is actually just
fried dough which was sugared. I wanted to buy one to taste it but they only sold
them in quanties of 6 or greater. Never wanting to appear to be cheap, I bought 6. And ate
all four and would have eaten them all had Leslie not eaten two (le petit cochon).

After that we went to the market which was open. Today there was fish and meat vendors.
Lots of different kinds of fish. There was also some one selling oils and vinegars,
some of which were sweet and you could taste them.

Went home, did laundry and packed for Paris.
