RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK is located in Rajasthan, India.
It is rich in wildlife and the animals here are easier to spot as compared to other Indian Jungles, as the vegetation here is dry and sparse most of the year.
The Park is famous for the frequent sightings of its Tigers.
Tigers here are not very shy and can come very close to the tourist vehicles, as can be seen in some of the pics posted here.
Got the rare chance to see a Tigress resting on top of the main entrance to the Park.

The awe and beauty of this Animal in the wild is to be seen to be believed.
But its survival today is threatened by Poaching and encroachment of its habitat.
Hopefully the concerned authorities will rise from their slumber to save this majestic animal from going to what looks like the road to extinction.
