Playing around with my new Panasonic DMC-ZR1 given me as a Christmas present by my daughter. Very compact, seems well constructed. Takes very good photos outside. Low light performance suffers but is good up to five or six feet. The 25mm to 200mm+ (35mm equivalent) zoom and image stabilization are excellent. Fastest focus and shutter I have ever seen on a small digital camera - seems almost as quick as a DSLR. Optical zoom can extend to approximately 400mm at 3mp. High definition 720p video with zoom is also good. Limited manual adjustments but one dial setting can be customized to your preference. Lots of programed scene modes. Overall I like the camera and it will come in handy when I don't want to lug around my Canon 20D.
