The Presidio

An unusual perspective on a famous San Diego landmark.

For a "normal" view see my PaD Wannabe: http://www.pbase.com/image/42540819

"Located in Presidio Park above Old Town State Historic Park, this striking mission-style building was constructed in 1929 to commemorate the site where Father Junipero Serra and Captain Gaspar de Portola established the first mission and fortified settlement in present-day California." Taken from

Beautiful sky, Gary. Now, where did I put my polarizing filter?

Spectacular! The subtle tones, details and shadows in the balcony alone are wonderful. Excellent composition and contrast.

my type of imagery.
I love doing these sorts of images also.
Have to love the older contempory style stone building format also.

I'm glad there's no rain in those clouds cause my keyboard would be wet ;>) Here, take my duster, it cleaned my lens really well. But gee, you should have seen the state of my jeans.
Love the angle on this. Word association. Presidio...Sean Connery. LOL!!

Karen Leaf25-Apr-2005 04:15
I thought that was a Frank Sinatra movie??
The blue sky is fabulous-does the filter help define the shadow, too? Great crop.
