Stoned

There is a small pile of rocks and stones aside a palm
tree outside my front door. I don't know why they're there.
I do know that someone is getting ready to re-landscape
this portion of the property, so perhaps they piled them
there for a reason known only to them. In any event, I
found myself pointing my camera at the stones.

Excellent detail and texture on the stones.. love the framing - it actually adds so much. Makes the eyes focus on the very detailed center - yet gives a softness to the overall image.. well done

I love this framing effect, drawing the eye from softness to focus. The tones and shadow are wonderful, too.
