Behold the Comb...

One of two images I might enter into a contest which challenges
us to "take a picture of a common, ordinary object" and use it as
the focal point in the composition. My other choice is here:

I also like this one better Gary, it plays games with my eyes if I look at it long enough, maybe it is really my lack of sleep and old age though. :-) The other is nice also, I like the background on it, what did you use?

Hmm .. thi makes for an interersting detail, but I like the other photo better, Gary. I find it's more interesting visually.

I'm with Karen here GW... simplicity is better. A touch of shadow? You might play with that. Good luck.

They are both good, but I think you made the right choice here.

Think I like this better because of the simplicity and bold color. (But maybe have a shadow from the teeth?)
