April 23

I've been debating picking up another prime, such as the 35 f/2, or the 28 f/2.8,
so I went to the park today and took pictures with my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 (constant).

I took each picture four times - 50 mm, about 35 mm, about 28 mm, and about 24 mm. Although I
concluded the size that appealed most to me after seeing my results was 35 mm,
which is closest to the "normal" 50 mm lens on a FF camera, I also continued to
be impressed with the images of my 17-50.

So, if all I gain is a stop from 2.8 to 2.0, and a smaller, lighter lens, I think I'll pass for now.

By the way, this IS the color of the tree - no filters, no photoshop adjustments other than levels.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

The lens gives a nice sharp shot....the tree needs to be viewed in original to get the best result and the tones are interesting.
