The Fly

Took me camera and flash out on the patio this morning
on a cloudy day and found this flower awaitin' for me.

Didn't see the fly until I had the picture on the monitor!

Canon EOS 50D ,Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
1/100s f/5.6 at 85.0mm iso400 full exif

Very pretty flower, and the fly is an added bonus. I'd be curious too to see a version without flash for comparison. I think the flash will have filled in some of the shadows, but possibly also lost some of the sense of depth as a result.

Great color and lighting and the fly is lovely! Did you try the same shot without the flash? Just curious if you did if you liked them both or what the difference might be.
