One of the first snaps...

Got my new 50D this evening. It looks like a great camera;
now I"ll have to become a great photographer as well!

This is a shot at my local coffee shop, Twiggs. Sat there
with a cuppa joe and tried to figure out all the buttons.

First camera I ever bought without ever seeing one in person first.

Canon EOS 50D ,Canon 50mm f/1.8
1/30s f/2.5 at 50.0mm iso800 full exif

Nice and clean at ISO 800! Looking forward to you take on it. I have been quite pleased with my 40D.

Congratulations... I have said it before. You don't need a fancy camera. Your eye makes any camera perform beyond its range.
