Club Tombay is comprised of people who fall with their bikes while still clipped
in to the pedals. It's reserved for those who ride "clipless" (something like being
clipped in to a ski. When (not IF) you fall, because you couldn't unclip fast enough,
you can apply for membership to Club Tombay.

I was riding with Dianne when I decided to stop for a break. I unclipped with my right
foot, and suddenly the bike began leaning to the left. Then, in slow motion, down I went!

Dianne's first three comments were:

"Oh, sweetie!"

"You can join Club Tombay!"

"You want me to get a picture?

I had my iPhone in my back pocket. After some heavy sighs, I handed her the camera and
she snapped this photo.

(By the way, did you notice she did NOT say, "Are you all right???"

I dusted myself off and we rode home after a few laughs. (I'm nothing if not a good
sport.) But tonight, my left knee is throbbing and I've had it on ice.

But hey -- I'm the newest, and proud member of Club Tombay!!!
