Firstly, I could have used a longer-than-300mm lens, so I needed a big crop. That overexposed branch on the upper right had to be gotten rid of as did the bright one spot on the upper left. Both of those were fixed with the Patch Tool in Photoshop. The branch on which the turkey is perched is overexposed. I selected that with the Magic Wand and used the shadow/highlight adjustment to tone down the brightness. The turkeys upper body wasn't as sharp as the lower body so that part got more sharpening than the lower part. Please note that I only sharpen the in-focus parts of a picture to which I want to draw attention. It's not a good idea to universally sharpen and image that contains an out of focus background. Additionally, when you have a "noisy" image, sharpening only makes the noise worse.
