Tinkerbell was my first cat after getting married. I wanted a Siamese so bad and I found a breeder near us that had kittens. She was $35 and we were newly weds with little money so I talked the breeder into not cashing the check until our next payday.

She traveled in the car many times between WI and FL and then finally to CA. She also left us from kidney disease.
