It's a Carolina Wren!

My front entrance has been scattered with nest building debris. I thought it was probably a mourning dove because they've built in this treacherous place before, but this morning I discovered this was the builder. Do you know what it is? (I used a 1.4x Tamron teleconverter with my 85 1.8 lens. Taken through a really dirty transom...in a big hurry. I expect I will get better pictures when I clean the glass and it's a little brighter out! Next picture shows colors and detail a little better...I used a smaller aperture. I don't hold out too much hope for this nest. They've been building for too long and there's nothing to retain the nesting material. A couple of years ago some mourning doves were successful, much to my amazement. I will follow the progress of these two, whom I've just read, are monogamous. http://birds.cornell.edu/birdhouse/bird_bios/speciesaccounts/carwre.html

Very pretty bird. I hope it sticks around so you can get more shots.
