Train Depot

Image and tutorial ©Robin Racine

For this image I used PSP 8, I did the One Step Photo Fix first. Then I duplicated the image, by going to the layer palette and right clicking on layer and chose duplicate. Then on the duplicated layer I applied the Filter's Unlimited - Two Intensity Mapped to Gradient. Choose settings to your liking.
Then I went to Layer>Properties>Blend Mode left click and chose Lighten from drop down list. Layers>Merge>Merge All Flatten.
Added a preset picture frame from PSP. Then added border, with magic wand select border and go to Selections>Invert then go to Effects 3D effects and chose cut-out.
I then resized and applied the unsharpened mask.

First time every making a tutorial, but when I stumbled upon this effect by just playing I thought others might enjoying trying it too.

I like this treatment but I think sepia would have given it an older look !
I want that phone! ;-)

Very charming treatment. I love the subject. My eye keeps being drawn to the flash reflection...so I decided to play with the original image to see if I could get rid of it. Click on next to see the results.
