After we did our assigned tut, we were asked to put some of what we learned into practice with other images of our choice. These two images were taken from my pbase albums. The original of the cat had the messy view through the window. I placed the bird on a layer below the cat image and then made selections of the spaces between the ladders of the chair and removed the contents show the bird would show through. I had to fill in gray on the left side of the image to replace the bird feeder, which was too busy looking.
The text was placed on his back by first making a path with the pen tool and then clicking on the path with the text tool so it would change to the text-on-a-path tool.
