Reluctant Model

Needed a black dog to practice flash technique as described in this link about off-camera flash by Shay Stephens: http://www.sonycams.com/more.php?id=78_0_1_0_M
Ricky was the only one instantly available. I think the 50mm f/1.8 lens is a great dog photography lens. With longer lenses I feel too far away from the subject. Click on next to see him a bit more relaxed, lit with a slave light added on the right.

other sizes: small medium original auto

He defiinitely looks a bit uncomfortable, LOL. But such a sweetheart! Helen

Very nice job, Isabel! You did a great job lighting the white background, too. Don't you mean lit from the left (and not the right)? It appears to me the highlight is on the left of his eye, and the shadows fall to the right (from left). I love his expression!
