Should I Worry

I was preparing dinner when this critter scamped across my kitchen counter. Of course I ran for my Coolpix 990, my premier closeup camera. He or she was about 3/4" across. Anyone know what it is?
I hate to kill a photo op!

Looks like a white tailed spider to me.

Hi, not to worry. Looks like a wolf spider, maybe a Carolina wolf spider. It's your own home pest control-preys on bugs for you! If you don't want it inside, catch it with a glass and let it hunt outside. Here's a spider id site that might help: http://www.rochedalss.qld.edu.au/huntwolf.htm

OMG!!!! I would definately worry! I am soooo scared of spiders. I would have been screaming and crying for someone to come kill it. I know, I'm a wimp! LOL!
