Since I have a couple of cheap reflective photographic umbrellas, I decided to set up two 580ex speedlghts (Canon's name for flashes) bouncing off them. I was puzzled with my results because the left of Ricky was way too dark. After a couple of shots I realized I hadn't set that flash to the "Slave" position. I had an STE2 on the camera to trigger the two flashes. I think the batting photographed beautifully, and will probably use it in the future.
