It's the title of a VASST instructional DVD hosted by Douglas Spotted Eagle, who made the great Sony Vegas Movie Studio training video I have been mentioning recently. That one cost $49 and consisted of over 5 hours of training. This one cost $79* and had only one DVD and was much, much shorter. Clearly, the Movie Studio training video, by comparison, was a better buy, but I still learned quite a bit from this dvd. *Update: It is currently on sale for $49.
The screen I captured here has some reminders about what factors make for the best video preparation for further compression by video storage sites like YouTube. The better your original is prepared, the less YouTube will wreck it.
Great audio - Spotted Eagle shows you how to improve the quality of your sound
Reducing saturation helps the compression used by online sites to make the best video from your file
Long transitions - like fades, don't compress well - he says to use jump cuts rather than dissolves or fades - no fuzzy stuff
Avoid blurry frames
Try for at least 1 Mbps encodes for the upload.
He spends quite a bit of time talking about different types of backgrounds and what sort of clothing to wear - how important it is to get real close to your subjects since the pictures shown on the web are so small.
