I flew backseat in the above pictured SB2C in a reunion at Fredricksburg Texas. We flew accross Texas with the Beast in perfect condition. We were part of the Bomb Squadron 8 group reunion in 1996. I again remembered the noise of the craft, the raising and lowereing of the canopy over the twin 30s aft. I remember back when I was in SB2C number 68 abaord the Guadalcanal, CVE 60 in the Atlantic. We blew two German tankers out of the water. I flew the plane home from the back seat,,, Oh,,, Read 'TWO AND A HALF MISSIONS, MAX' . I wrote it about the SB2C, and I am proud to have been part of the crew on that plane.
