The Saturday show was amazing, or so I'm told - beautiful clear, blue skies - but I was stuck on an airplane for 12 odd hours coming back from Hawaii and I missed that show. Sunday was the exact opposite - windy conditions, gun-metal gray backdrop, rain and violent thunderstorms which forced the show to shut down for about two hours and nearly all of the spectators were forced to evacuate MacDill. Even in these tough conditions, a big thanks goes out to the MacDill organizers for deciding to resume the show and to the Stallion 51, F-15 and Blue Angels air crews for their determination to fly for the fans in the thunderstorms. This gallery is also a testimonial for Nikon for their weather-sealed gear - I was one of a few photographers shooting in the driving rain.
