Some pictures of the KonTiki Museum. These boats were built by the explorer Thor Heyerdahl to demonstrate that it had been possible for the ancient civilizations to travel from one continent to the other.
He did it 3 times: With the Kon Tiki, he started in Peru and landed on the Raroia Atoll in the Tuamotu Archipelago. Later, with the Ra II, from Marocco to Brazil, and finally with the Tigris, from the Persian Gulf to Djibouti at the mouth of the Red Sea.
