YNP is located about 70 miles east of Modesto, CA.
Much has been wriiten about YNP. Nothing that we have read or viewed can describe the sensation we got when we entered Yosemite valley, nothing. There are four entrances to Yosemite: one estern, Tioga Pass; two western and one southern. Since the valley has restricted access, there appears to be a big crowd after Memorial Day. Yosemite is the third most visited NP, after the Great Smoky Mountains NP and the Grand Canyon NP.
We did our best, in the form of photographs, to pass along our YNP experience. However, they do no replace waking up in the park seeing the Yosemite Fall to the lrft and the famous Half dome monolith to the right.
We took longer to get this gallery ready. It has 40 photographs, more than any other gallery we have made. Please be patient with the slide show. We think it will give you a "taste" Yosemite NP.
