The Tyler Arboretum is located about 25 miles southwest of downtown Philadelphia in the town of Media.
The Arboretum is one of the oldest and largest arboreta in the northeastern United States, encompassing 650 acres of horticultural collections, rare plant specimens, ancient trees, historic buildings and extensive hiking trails. Tyler has four Champion Trees – the largest of their kind in Pennsylvania. They are: Lebanon Cedar (Cedrus libani); Yulan Magnolia (Magnolia denudata); Oriental Spruce (Picea orientalis); and Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum).
