Sequoia National Park (SNP)

SNP is situated near the southern end of the Sierra Nevada mountains at about 7000 feet elevation, and is adjacent to Kings Canyon NP. SNP is known for its groves of gaint Sequoia trees. The largest (as measured by overall mass) tree in the world, the General Sherman Tree, is near the Lodgepole Visitor Center.

The south entrance to SNP is northeast of Visalia, CA.
