This NM displays the history of the Kaibab Paiute Nation and the first Mormon settlement. The conflicts which arose because of the Paiute culture and the Mormon settlers taking the only source of water within many, many miles.

A spring feeds a pond which is used to irrigate the gardens and a few animals.

In the early 1860's Brigam Young created a tighing ranch, which at its peak in 1879 ran more than 2200 head of cattle.
