I missed out taking picture of this spot when I visited the Auschwitz recently. This is truly the sad side of the history which needs to be shared with the world as war is still going on...

I wasn´t too sure about this since the beginning, although I saw somewhere on the web a mention to these as ovens. However I´ll take for right your amendment.

I am afraid there's been a confusion about this picture. If I remember right from my two visits to Auschwitz these are not the ovens, these are the isolation/confinement cells where up to 5 prisoners would be left standing upright for days in a row.
