Sandhill Cranes-Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge

2021: These were shot over a two week period in late fall as the crane migration peaked. Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge peaked at around 14,000 cranes on November 9th.

2022: Numbers are building as of 10/17/22 The migration peaked on November 8th with 29,000! With recent snowstorm on 11/15 very few cranes remain.
