Simone's father has played with these guys for years. They don't play as much these days, but when they do, we try to show. John Sutherland on drums(Simone's Dad), Ron Fosse on bass, Aane Fosse on keyboards, and Eric Giere on tenor sax and clarinet. These shots were from sets at Dunns Brothers coffee house in Minneapolis on December 12th, 2009; February 6th, 2010; and March 24th, 2011.

UPDATE: The Star Tribune runs an ongoing feature in the variety section called "Duets". John Sutherland and Eric Giere were recently featured as two guys who have been playing music together for seventy years! They first played together in school at the age of twelve! Pretty cool :)

UPDATE: Sadly, on November 18th, 2012 John Sutherland passed away. On March 7, 2013 the Jazz by Fosse group had a little tribute gig to honor John. I'm sure John appreciated it! John's brother, Jim Sutherland, sat in for John on drums. John's portrait watched over his band mates.
