This trip had one goal in mind, nesting Olive Ridley Turtles. After the research and countless hours of trying to determine when an arribada would take place, I made my plans. The first two mornings were filled with photographing hatching Ridley's, sometimes numbering in the hundreds from a single nest. On the third morning, we were greeted by a few dozen adults still on the beach. By the end of the week, the numbers kept increasing by ten fold daily, On the seventh morning, several thousand turtles were coming and going on the famous Ostional beach. To round the rest of the trip out, we visited Arenal and ran down to Manuel Antonio to seek some better sunshine.
