St Joe's

This morning, early, 5:00AM, 15 degrees F, with a
15 miles per hour wind I was standing on Main Street,
in Buffalo, looking for a photo opportunity.
This was what I found.

I just bought this really inexpensive Canon 50mm F/1.8
lens and was trying it out. On portraits it appears to
work fine.

Canon EOS 30D
1/40s f/1.8 at 50.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

I agree with Larry, here. I did use a tripod, however, I should have used, say, an F/8.0 and about 2sec shutter speed. I was too frickin' cold and in a rush to get back to the house to get ready for work to pay attention to my photography. A lesson learned.

But I liked the light on the stone and the contrasting dark sky.

Fabulous capture Don. That 50mm f/1.8 is a gem--inexpensive but great glass.
