This structure is (or was) used to unload ships
of their grain cargo.
Located on rail road tracks that run along the
line of silos (bins) of the grain elevators,
this "leg" reached out into the hold of the
freighter ships to scoop out the grain and
carry the grain to the silos.
This old leg is on the side of the abandoned
Eastern Grain Elevator Co facility on the
Buffalo River in Buffalo, NY.
