Here's the story.
Saturday, early in the morning, I was down by the Buffalo River
where all the flour mill/grain elevator buildings are located.
I was engrossed in taking pictures. While intently looking through
my view finder, camera steady on the tripod I had this sense that
I was being watched, or that someone was near.
I had passed all the "DO NOT ENTER" signs on my way in and was
probably feeling a tad watchful for anyone who might be enforcing
the signs' messages.
I lifted my eyes from the back of the camera, turned my head, and this
fellow and 4 other of his friends were standing not more than 30 yards
behind me, intently watching as I photographed these buildings.
The deer seemed out of place, here in the industrial section of Buffalo,
along the railroad tracks and amoung these huge concrete structures.
They appeared not to be too upset by my presence.
