Early Friday Morning

I get up early in the morning, about 3 hours before I need to be at work. This Friday, Oct 13, I got up at about 4:30 AM, still no electric in the house, the house was black, but the light from the street light shone in through the front door window. As I went to let the dog out, I opened the side door out into a driveway with about 20" of snow piled high. My first thought was, I better get the snow blower going if I want to make it to work. I hadn't started the snow blower since last year; there was no power so after struggling in the dark with my cold weather clothes I made my way to the garage with flash light in hand. I was concerned the snow blower would not start. I usually plug it in and use the electric start. It often started hard when it was cold. Oil and gas ok, first pull it started right up. Thank you Briggs and Stratton! The snow was very heavy and deep, it took me about 45 minutes to get to the front part of the driveway. I then took the time to notice. There were "lots" of branches down. There was a huge branch right across my driveway. I'm going to be late to work. I couldn't go any further with the snow blower. I need to get a shovel and dig out this branch, but it is way too big for me to move alone and I don't have a chain saw. I am really going to be late to work. I went inside and got my camera and took these early morning Friday shots. My boss was in Toronto and had called while I was in the driveway. I was to initiate the call tree and notify my staff there would be no work today.
